Realization....

#1 : Driving a car is fun! But driving a road roller aint that much fun! You just have to go front and come back again and again!! Boring....

#2 : Fishes cant attempt suicide by jumping into a water body, cos they are already in water!! So no suicide possible!!

#3 : However friendly you are with a girl, she still remains a girl. :| ( Not literally)

#4 : For a guy, his gf is more important than his friends!! :| I dunno about girls :|

#5 : There is no use thinking more than this at this point of time cos nothing really strikes me!!

Dont be a Jack

The past 1 month was a test of my endurance to what life can offer me!! Luckily i have passed the test, but i have failed in one aspect.... The aspect of how i am!!

I am writing this post on a very emotional day...Infact the previous week was really tough!! Tough to the extent that people started asking, "why are you like this??", people started hating me, people started to ignore me!! Emotionally i am drained..... Even at this point of time i am thinking whether or not to pen down this post.... Its better to just push out everything that i have within and then have a good nights sleep...

Life has been a teacher to me... The fact is that i realize everything only after experiencing it.... Whether it is happiness or emotional breakdowns or pain.... Once a friend of mine asked me a question..... "Hows life???", and i replied " Its cool"..... and he said "Thats weird!! People usually tell me life sucks!!". At that instant i did not realize how complex life can become....

Realization strikes me that i am just one of those thousands of youngsters who dream....who enjoy....and who face trouble!!!

Well..... Its actually better if a person can be on either of the 2 sides..... The first side, where the guy is intelligent enough to be on top, to utilize every possible resource and turns out to be successful in all his attempts!!! Thus he is supreme, extremely content and versatile in all ways.... A master!!

The other side is a side of being in a state of jolly go lucky.... One who could say " I dont give a damn" very easily!! One who knows nothing but actually doesnt care about it!!! Bliss for him indeed!!

But sadly there is another category, that acts as a fence between these 2 sides!! These are the people who are like cats on the wall!! Neither are they a master nor a fool!! And sadly enough, these are the people who fail miserably....Who are hurt when they fail and who get a lot of disappointments. I am one of those......... A jack!!

Being a master is something special! Not everyone can or will be able to achieve it!! But i always ask myself a question, "Why do people always go to the master??". Is it that the jacks know nothing!! No way.... Its just that they know only something and not everything.... Its just that they dont express it...But after all, who cares!!

Whatever one does, he ought to become an expert in that...Or at least strive to be one!!! Makes life simple..... happy..... content.....

Tough times!!!

Love

My Triolet,

I have fallen in love
And I feel the pain;
I dont know why
I have fallen in love,
I have to let go
I have to forget,
I have fallen in love
And i fell the pain.

A Melody named Rhythm '08

Well, after a long time "Im Back"!!

This time, i have something solid to blog on!! The title to this post might not be very apt... It wasnt actually a melody!! It was actually a fusion of rock, hip-hop and hard work by the members of Youth Red Cross!!! I wanted to be a part of the organizing committee and through Rhythm '08, i could achieve that :) :) In fact all my friends Neeraj, Vishvam, Pradeep, Gautham, Navaneethan and Saravana had very important roles to play!!

1 week of hard work and sleepless nights ( i mean it!) did prove to be worthy!! The visit to NMB at 4.30 AM was a sooper experience!! Made friends with a lot of seniors... Work combined with fun is exactly how the entire preparation went on!!

The cine remix that was planned to be showcased was one disappointment!! They refused to play it on screen!! But as far as the remix is concerned, it is the best ever!! Kudos to the entire team for their effort!!

The final 2 days were very hectic!! Stage set up work.... write ups....Flash presentations... Other minor preparations etc etc ....

Now, i could actually say that i have driven across the avanashi road stretch at all hours possible!! I went back home at 5.00 in the morning the day before the show!! Entire nights work was absolutely tiring!!

hmmm... And this time i did something that i never expected!! I framed the Tag line for Rhythm...

Rhythm '08.... Service for Eternal Glory

And i also framed the lines to be printed on the T shirt ( limited edition) :P.... And the lines are...

A
Hybrid theory
&
a Spirited Initiative
to emphasize,
Everyones blood is
Red

I dont know how others find these lines!! None gave me any comments about these except a few YRC Members.... Anyways i am happy with it!!

Rhythm '08 is one event that i would always bear in mind!! A happy memory to cherish!!

Happenings...

I sit in front of the screen at exactly 10.14 (+5.30 GMT) to put down some of the recent happenings!! Munbe va, the ever melodious song is what i chose to play at the moment...

hmmm...Let me see... The past few days have made me realize my ignorance on a few aspects of life that are important...And by important i mean those that are important to me!! Ignorance is definitely not bliss.... Its just being foolish!! Im happy that i am out of it currently!! Not entirely but to some extent!! :) "My period of temporary insanity is over." I quote Sharanyans words....

Ok now moving on to Kriya 08!! Wow..Wow...Wow . Frankly speaking i did not expect so many people to turn out!! But they did... And 3 days of rollicking fun!! Wished i was an organizer or an event co-coordinator of some sort!! Anyways, i could at least take a lil pride on the fact that i could MC for the Inauguration...

Root Kriya, turned out to be a stupendous event!! Kudos to the Team!!

I missed out on the Spot trading event that i wished to participate. Did not participate in any event actually!! I just turned out to be a volunteer( partly though)

Neeraj and Vishvam do a lot of work indeed!! Kudos for their efforts in their own fields...

I wish i had better health during the 3 days!! :(

The lecture by Jimmy Wales was one part that i did not wish to miss!! Unfortunately i could only attend half of the session....Liked his opinion about the search results of Google and Yahoo!!

Had Espresso after the Jimmy Wales session!! Tasted like nothing...Cant explain!! Cos it dint have sugar in it!! But so very wanted to taste it!! Turned out to be good for my headache!!

Kriya 08, Success raised to the power of Infinity.... Another Kudos to the entire team!!

Waiting for Renaissance 08 and Rhythms 08!!

A Matter of Taste

Now, first the past.... The pongal holidays are over!!

As i usually say, time has indeed opted for the express way!! Everything is so very fast. And the holidays were fun too... Had a get together with my school friends which was sooper fun! 2 days and 2 get togethers!! first one with my friends who joined me in the 11th and the second with those who were present before the 10th standard!! Memoirs 08!!

Now, you might be wondering that the title of this post doesn't match the content!! Of course it doesn't... Now comes the relevant content!!

For those who are familiar with Discovery Traveling and Living, "A Matter Of Taste" is not unfamiliar!! And it is definitely not complete without Vir Sanghvi...

The actual name of the program is " A Matter Of Taste With Vir Sanghvi". I love watching this program...Specially cos of this most charismatic journalist!

The way he describes food is just so very heavenly!! Even the way he says the word Rice makes you wonder what speciality it has!! Words indeed express a lot of things...But when it comes to taste, words do not do much good!! But thats not true with this guy.... He has his own style...A style that makes your mouth water, eventhough its just a rice plate that he is describing!!

The entire program is packaged so beautifully....

Unhealthy is just a single word... " Make an appointment with the cardio therapist" adds some more masala to it!! Thats Vir Sanghvi for you!!

Thats it about this foody guy!! And, Morrow its the birthday of a Capricorn boy!! And i wish him a very happy birthday!!

Signing off,
Phoenix...

A Love story...

Please don expect this post to be very romantic and sweet!! This is not a warning... Just a precaution!

Ok...And i also believe that interfering in ones personal self ain't that good!! So i ll just make this as soft and gentle as possible!!!

Cast: Boy, Girl , Friends...

One line: Boy meets girls... They fall in love....

Perspective: The boy's friend's view....(No spoilers)

The story unwinds...

The smart boy was sitting in his class. The friend enters the class. Its just the 2nd day of college and so they just say a HI with a smile. A hi follows a few inquiries about their school and the place they come from. Days pass by. They become friends. A group of 6 friends in total. Life becomes happy. Movies...Chats...Comments...Outings!!

The boy is intelligent...As usual, all heroes in a story are intelligent! They have to be, to become heroes!! Ok, now thats enough of hero hero stuff!! Half the year is complete and life for the group of friends is just as usual. But no one realized that there was a small turning point in the boys life at that moment. Yes, the boy meets the girl....

Now, please don come to an assumption that there was an immediate BOOM...Who knows...There might have been one!! Anyways, the girl is introduced to the boy through another friend. So indeed the boy and girl become friends. The stay so, as far as the friends knew! There came the boys birthday. And what he received was a chocolate!! Guess from whom?? ok, you are right!! And that chocolate he neither ate nor gave it to his friends to eat!! Poor friends, they might have been very hungry!!

More chocolates!! One friend wondered from where, all these came from!! He, being innocent couldnt figure that out!! He wanted one of the chocolates that he found in the boys bag, but the boy refused to budge. He wondered where this would end up in....

On a fine chill day, the boy reveals to one of his friends about the BOOM. Yeah, it had already happened!! And that conversation was a secret!! Obviously none of the other friends knew about it!! And now this news spreads from one friend to the other. A few don believe. They actually din realize that the same boy, the boy who was calm, the boy who was quite and the boy who had a very appavi look on his face could have fallen in LOVE.

The boy and girl accept!! Accept what?? You must know that by now!!! And what follows?? Naturally the TREAT!! The first of its kind for the gang!

And the rest was just magic...Continuing and ever lasting!!

Moving towards.... "They both lived happily ever after!!!"

Say What....?

When i was just glancing through one of the editions of Femina, I found this particular part interesting...

Ever bought a simple product and found rather weird instructions printed on it? Apparently that happens a lot!

Check this out...

  • On Boot's Children Cough Medicine, " Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication."
Gosh.... Kids grow up so fast these days...
  • On a Sears hairdryer, " Do not use while sleeping."
Yeah, because God only knows how your sub-conscious self would style your hair.
  • On a bag of Fritos, " You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
Yeah, just steal it off any 80- year old granny in a wheel chair.

  • On a Japanese food processor, " Not to be used for other use.'
Um...you mean, like cannibalism?????

Hope you enjoyed!!!

P.S - I don read Femina... Its just that i had no other work and i went through this book!!!

The Drama Of Life

Its been a very long time.....A very very long time indeed.

But nothing much happened around. Just the usual preparations and the semester exams all over!!
I thought a lot about wat i would blog!! As i kept thinking i jus became blank... So i decided to put it away for sometime!!

Many days have passed by!! Many things happened that made me contemplate over many things( 3 manys in the previous line)... Wat is the purpose of my life?? Wat do i live for?? Wat am going to do?? Who can i trust?? Are my friends really my friends??(That was one very deep thought... A thought that i could never find an answer for) Why is life so boring sometimes.... so joyful sometimes and so miserable sometimes and so painful sometimes!!!

The answers jus din come to me!! Why do people just act....pretend....Jus show that they care but dont really care!! So is it just a drama?? Is nothing real...Is nothing permanent....

Yes of course, life is always and in every way a drama!!( Or is it just that i feel so!! I still dunno....People who read this please tell me....) Quite recently i tend to blog when i feel lonely and left alone. When i think a lot it just strikes me that only i ...only me and only myself in this whole world will care for me!!!

People behave differently when they are just alone with me and when everyone else is around....Why cant it be the same?? Why cant others jus be themselves all the time instead of a disguise!! I notice people laugh at stuff thats not really that funny and which is absolute crap.... Thats funny!!!

All this leads me to just one conclusion that life is just a drama and we jus got to move on according to the script!!! Wat script?? Who knows??? Some crap!!!

The Road Taken- Luck

Hello fellows!!

Those who are reading this ,might be wondering what i mean by the above said topic. Well it doesn mean anything... I jus wanted to share my thoughts( after some heated discussion with my parents)!!

I read an article which said Bill Gates, at first wanted to pursue a carrer in bio technology but then was unable to do it. The he aspired to become a chess player, but he lost. The he chose computers. So what made him choose computers??? Why din he win in chess.... Is there any reason???

Anyone who takes a decision will take it only with a thought of success!! No one will volunteer to go and fall in the ditch.... But why do decisions sometimes go wrong???

Stock market.... You buy a share that has been moving up for the past 1 week. The day you buy that share, it drops down.... Reason???

I guess i should its time for me to say what i want to say!!! The reason is just pure luck....

Today's fortune: Luck is coming your way... This is my orkut fortune for this day!!! What a coincidence!!!

hmmm... So luck i feel plays a major role in what you do and how it turns out. One could work hard and harder to gain something...But what if the hard work goes in vain due to some other reason. You just need to have that minimal proportion of luck.....

A man digs a pit hoping to find gold at that place. He digs 9 feet, 10 feet , 11 feet... Then he looses hope and goes away. Another man heares the story and starts digging. He strikes gold at 12 feet!! :D. Why dint the other man have the patience do dig just another feet. Cos he din have the luck inspite of his hard work.....

Some would say that luck is just bull shit and you just need to work hard!! Of course i do agree with them. You do have to work hard, but luck is def not bull shit.... It does have some power!!

Anyways we must not let success to move to the head and failures to haunt our heart!! Then life becomes easy!!!

These are my views and anyone who read this are welcome to comment!!

Be a REBEL !!

An air of anxiety and suspense filled the place!! We occupied our seats calmly as if we were gonna watch the entire show!! Glances and whispers..... Small group discussions near the crowd.... Plans discussed and others asked to follow!! Many nodded in acceptance...What was gonna happen, no one knew... But some thing was gonna happen!!

We waited.... Team after team came on stage and did their best!! Jus to prove themselves!! Although they could guess the outcome....A roar from the crowd... This made the higher officials to stand right next to the crowd jus to take control of the situation.... Next on stage would be the "$$$$" came the announcement!! We waited.....

The curtain went down and everyone rose.... Rose in unison, to prove our point!!! The rebels of the day!!! Marching in long rows, moving out.... The walk out was staged!! The officials were stumped!! Whatever happened after this was very quick... None could be stopped!! The point was proved.... The rebels were succesful.... A big roar!! And the entire crowd looked back, ignoring the show for a minute!!! Success at last....

Always "BE A REBEL"...

There are 10 kinds of people: complexifiers and simplifiers

Sorry... Only the next post ll be on Intrams 07!! :P

I found this one to be a lil interesting!!

There are several thousand ways to complete the sentence “There are two kinds of people, those that…” And in case the universe wouldn’t be complete without another, here’s one more.

There are two kinds of people: people that make things complex and people that simplify.

Complexifiers are averse to reduction. Their instincts are to turn simple assignments into quagmires, and to reject simple ideas until they’re buried (or asphyxiated) in layers of abstraction. These are the people who write 25 page specifications when a picture will do and send long e-mails to the entire team when one phone call would suffice. When they see x=y, they want to play with it and show their talents, taking pleasure in creating the unneccesary (23x*z = 23y*z). They take pride in consuming more bandwith, time, and paitence than needed, and expect rewards for it.

Simplifiers thrive on concision. They look for the 6x=6y in the world, and happily turn it into x=y. They never let their ego get in the way of the short path. When you give them seemingly complicated tasks they simplify, consolidate and re-interpret on instinct, naturally seeking the simplest way to achieve what needs to be done. They find ways to communicate complex ideas in simple terms without losing the idea’s essense or power.

I don’t know what makes a person fall into either pile (genetics, habit, experience?), but I do know I’d much rather spend my time with the simplifiers than the complexifiers.....
